Born June 6, 1960, Long Island, New York, USA - American virtuoso guitarist, also known as a composer, vocalist, producer, actor. He began his career as a guitarist and interpreter with Frank Zappa, with whom he recorded and toured since 1980. Since 1983 he has been leading an independent career as a solo guitarist. As of 2012, he has released 9 solo albums with a total circulation of more than 15 million copies, three times Grammy winner. In addition to working with Zappa, he collaborated and toured with such bands and musicians as Alcatrazz, Whitesnake, David Lee Roth, and was a regular participant in the G3 concert tours. In 1999 he founded his own label Favored Nations, focused on recording virtuoso performers.
