Born February 2, 1978, Toledo, Ohio - American actor.
He grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota, where he attended Oakland Junior High School and Stillwater District High School. Sommer then continued his studies at Concordia College in Moorehead, Minnesota, where he majored in theater and sang in a choir. He earned his Master of Arts in Acting from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Sommer has his most prominent film role to date in The Devil Wears Prada, starring financial analyst Doug, friend of Anne Hathaway's heroine. He appeared in commercials for companies such as Sprint Nextel and Bud Light in 2007, and in 2009 he appeared in an episode of Law & Order .
Sommer played a regular supporting role as Harry Crane on Mad Men. He also played many cameo roles in television series, including "The Office", "Black Mark" and "Elementary". In my 2012 he began performing in the play Harvey on Broadway.
Sommer lives in Los Angeles with his family. With his wife Virginia Donoghue, he has a daughter, Beatrice (born 2008) and a son, Patrick Ryan (born August 31, 2010). He had a blog on the Vox platform, which he started using as a beta tester.
