The famous rock group Foo Fighters was founded by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1995. The material for the performance was ready a long time ago, and when some recording studios became interested in his work, Dave invited Nate Mendel (bass), Pat Smeer (guitar) and William Goldsmith (drummer). In July 1995, the band's first disc of the same name was released and soon became multi-platinum, receiving the prestigious Best New Artist award. Returning from the tour in support of their debut work, the guys began to work on the second album, when it was almost ready, Dave remade everything in his own way, which William did not like, and he left the group. Taylor Hawkins took his place. Before the release, Pat separated from the team, and Franz Stahl became the new guitarist. The Color and the Shape album was released in May 1997. The third disc, There Is Nothing Left to Lose, was made without Franz in 1998, since Grohl fired him due to conflicts, and Chris Shiflett was invited for the release of the next compilation One by One in October 2002. The songs on the list - All My Life, Times Like These, Have It All - simply rattled on all radio stations, and the album itself received a Grammy. A successful first tour of the United Kingdom is associated with this brainchild.

In Your Honor was released in the early summer of 2005. The first disc contained rock songs, the second one sounded acoustic melodies. Following the release of the album, Foo Fighters could be watched on two concert tours with the participation of the returned Pat Smeer. 2007 became another joy for the fans of the band. The song The Pretender received two awards at once, including Best Hard Rock Performance, and the album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, released in September, received a Grammy in the category Best Rock Album. The next album, Wasting Light, was released in April 2010. It was an unusual work done on analog equipment, but despite this, it peaked for the first time on the top lines of the prestigious Billboard 200 charts and received 5 Grammy in 2012. In the summer of the same year, Back and Forth was released - the first documentary film with Foo Fighters about the work of children since the days of Nirvana. The tape became one of the best in 2011 among the films about music. In 2012, Dave announced a hiatus, and in November 2014, fans of the band heard new songs from the Sonic Highways compilation. On the basis of the tour, organized in support of the album, the series Foo Fighters Sonic Highways was created for those who did not get to concerts or want to once again enjoy the show taking place on stage.
