Born January 14, 1969 - American rock musician and songwriter. Best known as the drummer for the rock band Nirvana from 1990 until its disbandment in 1994, and as the guitarist-vocalist of his own group, the Foo Fighters, which had released eight commercially successful albums by 2014.
Grohl's musical career began in the 80s, when he played in several Washington-based bands.
In 1995, he founded the rock group Foo Fighters. Surprisingly, in 2002 he accepted an invitation from Queens Of The Stone Age to record the album and accompany the band on their tour, despite the fact that the Foo Fighters had a new album ready to release. In 2005 he collaborated with the group Garbage.
According to British magazine Classic Rock, Dave is the # 2 drummer in rock history after Led Zeppelin's John Bonham.
