Born July 18, 1974 - American screenwriter and musician.
Along with his brothers Zach and Joss and his then-fiancee Morisse Tancharoen, he is the co-creator and co-writer of the musical Doctor Terrible's Blog of Music. It became the subject of the Museum of Television and Radio fireworks and won an Emmy Award for Best Special Class - Short Format Game Entertainment Program. Prior to Doctor Terrible, Jed wrote music for video games, and was a member of the now defunct Los Angeles-based gang, The Southland. In 2010, he released an album entitled History of Forgotten Things from the Jed Whedon and the Willing gang. The album was assisted by his wife, Maurissa Tancharoen, and their mutual friend Felicia Day.
With Felicia Day, he composed the score for the song "(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar" for the Guild web series, which he also directed video. He and his wife, Maurissa, were the screenwriters of Dollhouse, the Fox series produced by his older brother Joss, before it was canceled. Since then, they have joined the cast of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, created by former Mutant Enemy member and Beautiful to Death writer Stephen C. DeKnight. Jed worked with his wife Morissa and brother Joss on The Avengers. Currently, he is the writer for the Marvel show Agents of SHIELD. on the ABC channel.
