American screenwriter, producer and director of television series. Best known for his work Smallville, Buffy is the Vampire Slayer and Angel. He also wrote the script for "Swell," a story from the eighth season of the Buffy comic, and served as a consulting producer on Joss Whedon's television series A Doll House. In addition, DeKnight is also the creator, chief writer and co-executive producer of the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and its prequel, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, which airs on Starz.
