Bansuri (Indian flute) maestro Pandit Ronu Majumdar (born 1965) is widely known to Indian music lovers all over the world. Thanks to his phenomenal talent, his name and Bansuri have become synonymous. Maestro Ronu Majumdar plays in the direction of North Indian music of Hindustatni - Maighar Gharana, which became world famous thanks to Pandit Ravi Shankar and Ustdu Ali Akbar Khan. Pandit Ronu Majumdar studied the flute under the guidance of his father Dr. Bhanu Majumdar, Pandita Lakshman Prasad Jaipurwali and Pandita Vijaya Raghava Rao. Maestro is the composer of popular music albums - “Fusion Yatra”, “A collection of 25 Gayatris”, “Nrityanjali”, and also the author of the music for the famous TV series “Mystic India”.
