Graduated from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania in 1946. After that, he actively continued his education: he graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, Columbia University in New York and the University of Florence in Italy. From 1946 to 1952 he periodically taught comparative literary studies, English and French at his alma mater. For several years he was selling wine for the Schenley Import Corporation, and in 1956 announced that he had decided to quit this job and become a professional actor - in this he was helped as much as he could by the famous opera singer Leontina Price.
In 1960, he made his stage debut in the play "Julius Caesar", and the next year he first appeared on the wide screen, playing a small role in the film "Messenger". The owner of a sonorous and beautiful baritone, Roscoe Lee Brown later became a sought-after voice actor. In 1968-1969 he worked as a night DJ at WWFS radio station. In 1968 he recorded the radio program Music and Gibran, in which he recited verses by Gibran Khalil Gibran to original oriental music. Roscoe Lee Brown passed away on April 11, 2007 from stomach cancer in Los Angeles, three weeks before his 85th birthday.
