The Panic Division was formed in San Antonio, Texas by three members of the disbanded post-hardcore group Carbon 12 Theory. The group successfully linked several styles of progressive and art rock with contemporary alternative themes and in 2003 released their debut album Versus on the small label (and still have a valid contract) Militia Group. After the American club tour, drummer James Castillo left the band and was replaced by drummer Jesse Garcia. Their second album Songs from the Glasshouse was released in 2007. Daniel Stanush left the band shortly after the album was released. A replacement was found in the person of Noe Carmon. In February 2008 the band announced a hiatus due to band leader Colton Halliday working on his electronic side project. On Christmas Eve 2008, Colton finally publishes a new song called Easier on the myspace page. On January 27th, 2009, it was announced that the band had uploaded the entire new recording (7 song EP) to Myspace, adding that the EP "Sleepwalker" will be available for download via iTunes, Amazon, etc. from March 1st, 2009. On in physical media, this album has not been released. On 20th March 2010, an announcement appeared on myspace from Colton “We are working hard to record our 4th album. We have recorded about 6 or 7 songs so far. We go into the studio next week to record 2 more songs, but we will also play a show in a bar in San Antonio where we will be presenting some of the new material. "
