Born in 1965 in London; began his career in 1994 at the BBC, where he worked on the Natural History series. By the age of 25, he became one of the youngest cameramen in BBC history. He became widely known in the cinematic world after working on Deepa Mehta's trilogy "Elements" - "Fire", "Earth" and "Water" (for the last film he was awarded the Genie Award - the Canadian analogue of the "Oscar").
