Born April 4, 1972 - Canadian film and television actress of Polish-Bengali descent. After school, she dreamed of a career as a journalist, but a car accident, in which Lisa's mother suffered greatly, forced her to postpone her studies for a while. At 16, a well-known Canadian fashion magazine offered Lisa to work as a model. Once on the cover of the magazine, the young girl immediately gained considerable popularity. Having abandoned journalism, Ray began acting in commercials, and after a while she was noticed by Indian filmmakers. In 2001, Lisa agreed to play in the film Lawyer's Trap, and in 2002, Indian-Canadian director Deepa Mehta invited her to play in the romantic comedy Bollywood / Hollywood, which gained immense popularity.
