Hungarian actor, director, public figure.
People's Artist of the Hungarian People's Republic (1950) .
In 1930 he graduated from the Higher School of Theater Arts in Budapest. From 1931 he worked in the troupe of the National Theater (Budapest), in 1941 - 61 - director, then chief director of this theater. Since 1941 he has acted in films. Since 1947, he headed the department at the Institute of Theater and Film Arts (Budapest).
