Born May 31, 1911 in Odessa in a working class family.
Before the war he lived in Leningrad, received an engineering education, wrote stories, feuilletons, pop monologues. Published since 1940.
A participant in the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1944, was seriously wounded at the front, ended up in Moscow, where in 1944 he began working together with Vladimir Mass.
Mikhail Abramovich died on August 12, 1965 in Moscow. He was buried at the 15th site of the Donskoy cemetery together with his wife - Sarah Yulievna (1910-1974).
