November 5, 1913, Kharkov - October 9, 1978, Moscow - Russian writer, poet, playwright. Lev Losev's father.
The son of a professor of medicine. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics (1933). First published in 1934; acted mainly as the author of poems for children. He worked as a literary consultant in the Leningrad magazine "Zvezda". Member of the USSR JV since 1939. In 1941 he joined the people's militia, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942. He was deputy commander of a rifle battalion for political affairs on the Leningrad front. In September 1944 he was wounded in action, demobilized with the rank of major. From the end of the 1940s he lived in Moscow.
Published about 30 books of poetry. He is the author of lyrics for many famous Soviet films, including "Girl without an Address", "Carnival Night", "A Tale of Lost Time" and others.
