Deepak Nayar has been successfully producing independent films for almost 20 years. The first projects of his company Kintop Pictures were "Highway to Nowhere" by David Lynch and "End of Violence" by Wim Wenders. His work with Wenders continued on The Buena Vista Club (nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary in 2000), The Million Dollar Hotel (Special Jury Prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 200) and Willie Nelson's full-length music video Teatro (nominated for a Grammy Award)
In 2001, he produced Beckham (Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations) and The Bride and Prejudice. In 2005-2007 he implements the projects "Princess of Spices" by Paul Burgess, Broken Threads by Mahesh Mathhai and "Escort for Ladies" by Paul Schroeder.
Nayar has a special gift for cultivating new talents. He has helped debut many successful filmmakers, including William Jennings (Harlem's Aria), Mahesh Mathhai (Express to Bhopal) and Matt Dillon (Ghost Town)
In addition to Slaughter Vacation, Nyar recently completed production of the feature-length film Sex Swap (directed by Jonathan Newman) with Mandy Moore, Melissa George, Jonathan Silverman and Jerry Stiller. He is working on the projects Blown (directed by Martha Fiennes) List of Seven and 2nd Objective (both based on the novels of Mark Frost, writer of Twin Peaks) and the animated film Caterpillarland (directed by Roxanne Beck).
