Born January 19, 1976 - American actress and singer.
At the age of 19 she founded the Dana Fuchs Band with guitarist John Diamond and went to New York. Her popularity grew, and soon she was invited to participate in joint concerts with such performers as Marianne Faithfull and Etta James. Thanks to these performances, the producers of Love, Janis drew attention to Dana, after which Fuchs got the role of Janis Joplin in it. Joplin is also the prototype for singer Sadie, who Fuchs plays in Julia Taymor's musical Across the Universe.
