Born December 4, 1966, Long Island, New York, USA - American actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer and musician.

Armisen attended the School of Fine Arts in New York, but dropped out to pursue a career as a drummer. He mentioned that from an early age he was a fan of bands like Devo and The Clash, which influenced his desire to perform on stage.

In 1984, Armisen played with his high school friends in the local rock band Valley Stream, which soon disbanded. In 1988, after leaving the School of Fine Arts, he moved to Chicago, where he founded the punk rock band Trenchmouth, which disbanded in 1996. In the 1990s, Armisen was the drummer for the Blue Man Group.

While in the music group Trenchmouth, Armisen became interested in acting.

His work on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Talking Dolls and Adult Swim brought him on Saturday Night Live in 2002.

Armisen has had small roles in Eurotrip, Man on Call 2, TV Presenter: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Ex-Lover, The Promotion, The Naked Drummer and Shopaholic.

In 2011, he co-authored the sketch series Portlandia with Carrie Brownstein, and in 2015, the mockumentary series Documentary Today! together with Bill Hader.
