Grigory Petrovsky is from St. Petersburg, was born on January 29, 1904. At the age of 24, he successfully graduated from the Kiev State Theater School, which from that time was considered one of the best universities for future actors and people of art.
In the last year of his studies, Grigory tried his hand at the Kiev Experimental Theater. After that he moved to the Kiev State Theater of Studio Performances, and in 1929 he moved to Moscow. Here the actor is engaged in productions of the State Moscow Realist Theater.
Unfortunately, Petrovsky only managed to work at the Moscow theater for a year, since in 1931 he was drafted into the army. The actor is in military service until 1933.
After serving and recuperating after service, Petrovsky in March 1934 became a leading actor of the State Moscow Chamber Theater. By the way, in the period from 1927 to 1934, the roles of Grigory Petrovsky are given with pleasure, their number was more than twenty.
The actor served for 16 years at the Moscow State Chamber Theater. During this time, he played a huge variety of roles. Petrovsky was very much loved by both the audience and fellow actors. In 1950, the actor changes the theater again, this time he starts working with the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater. Here he took part in productions until 1958.
Unfortunately, films with the participation of Grigory Petrovsky did not appear on the screens, since he was an actor in theaters and did not act in films. It's a pity, he was a man of bright charisma and amazing morality.
The actor passed away on April 2, 1976. Buried in Moscow.
