August 24, 1884, St. Petersburg, Russian Empire - February 8, 1968, Leningrad, USSR (St. Petersburg, Russia) - Soviet dramatic actress, theater teacher and professor.
In 1904 she graduated from the Higher Women's Bestuzhev Courses.
In 1906 she graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, singing class, in 1908 - from the St. Petersburg Theater School.
Since 1908 - actress of the Alexandrinsky Theater. She played dramatic, tragic and comedic roles, with up to 11 new roles in the season. A well-trained voice allowed her to perform parts in opera and operetta.
Taught at the A. Petrovsky School of Performing Arts, at the Institute of the Living Word. Then, for more than thirty years, at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinema, since 1951 - a professor.
