In 1943-1953 he served in the army. Member of the Great Patriotic War.
Director of a number of television films. He starred in the films "A Personal File" - 1939, "Brother of the Hero" - 1940.
VGIK teacher (1966-1969, 1971-1977) .
He passed away on August 6, 1996 in Moscow. Buried at the Vagankovskoye cemetery in Moscow, plot number 39.
