In 1933-1938 - an actor of the Moscow Contemporary Theater, V.E. Meyerhold, theaters in Tashkent, Petropavlovsk-on-Kamchatka.
In 1938-1939 he was an actor of the Kirov Youth Theater.
In 1940 he was an actor and director of the Kamchatka Regional Theater.
In 1941-1943 he was an actor and director of a front-line theater.
In 1943-1946 - senior teacher of acting at VGIK.
