Born on October 21, 1910, Vecpiebalga village, Latvia
He graduated from the Cesvaine Secondary School (1928) and E. Feldmanis's theater courses in Riga (1931). Studied at the Faculty of Law and Economics of the University of Latvia. Actor of the National Theater (1930-1938). He worked in the military construction unit of the German army, after the end of the war he was tested in a filtration camp near Leningrad. Upon returning to Latvia, he was again an actor of the National Theater, which by that time had changed its name to the Drama Theater named after A. Upita (1946-1971) .
He passed away on December 27, 1976.
