January 16, 1900, Madona region Latvia - June 5, 1971, Riga, Latvia - Latvian and Soviet theater actor.

In the summer he grazed the cows, but in the winter he returned to the Viran school, the initial course of which he completed in 1912. After spending some time studying with the miller of the Kraukle Manor, he worked for the next five years as a wool comber, spinner and weaver.

In 1917, after a serious illness, Rudolf Kreutzums left his former occupation and learned the profession of a shoemaker.

In 1919 he was drafted into the Latvian army and remained in long-term service, without interruption from which he attended Ernest Zeltmatis's Latvian drama courses in Riga (the first professional school of actors in Latvia).

After demobilization, he gets a place in the Mobile Theater, but soon joins the Dailes Theater troupe (1926).

The actor's manner of acting from the first roles was distinguished by the desire for maximum realism in a wide dramatic range and true simplicity of execution. Such is he in the role of old Karkl in the film directed by Leonid Leimanis "At the rich lady" and as a fisherman in the tape "Captain Zero".

Since 1948, a member of the Theater Workers' Union of the Latvian SSR. In 1956 he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Latvian SSR.
