She was born on February 10, 1917 in Kharkov, Russian Empire.
In 1936-1942 she worked as a seller in a bookstore, an assistant librarian, a choir dancer of a theater in the city of Jelgava.
She studied at the theater school in Jelgava.
Since 1944 - actress of Jelgavski and since 1953 - actress of Valmiera Drama Theaters, since 1954 - actress of the Academic Drama Theater of Latvia named after Andrejs Upita.
Honored Artist of the Latvian SSR (1956).
People's Artist of the Latvian SSR (1967).
People's Artist of the USSR (1976) .
She passed away on August 18, 2005 in Riga, Latvia. The actress was buried at the First Forest Cemetery in Riga.
