Famous Brazilian musician and film actor. Performs music in the styles of samba, soul, funk, MPB. Among music lovers, he is considered the continuation of the traditions of classical Brazilian pop samba. The singer notes the samba school and soul singer Stevie Wonder as the main sources of inspiration. He is also a fan of football player Romario.
As a singer, Seu Jorge began his career with the group Farofa Carioca, writing most of the songs on their debut album, Moro no Brasil, which was released in 1998. In 2001, he released "Samba Esporte Fino", a pop album influenced by musicians Georges Ben Jora, Gilberto Gil and Milton Nascimento. Outside Brazil, the record was released under the name "Carolina" in 2003. His second album Cru, well received by critics, was released in 2005. Seu Jorge also recorded a live album "Ana & Jorge", in a duet with Brazilian singer Ana Carolina, which was released in 2005.
