Honored Worker of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1978).
In 1957-1959 he studied at the Faculty of History of the Grozny Pedagogical Institute, graduated from the acting department of LGITMiK (1962), in 1970 - VKSR (studied in the workshops of M. Khutsiev; A. Alov and V. Naumov).
Prior to enrolling in directing courses, he was an actor in the Nuradilov Grozny Drama Theater. After graduating from VKSR, he worked as a director of the North Caucasian television studio. Since 1977 - director of the Odessa Film Studio. He starred in the role of Kazbich in the film "Bela" (directed by S. Rostotsky).
