Graduated from the Kiev Theater Institute (1961, workshop of Vladimir Nelly). After graduation, he played at the Zaporozhye Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater. Since 1965 - an actor of the Lviv Ukrainian Drama Theater named after I. M. Zankovetskaya, since 1987 - chief director.
