Graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts (1976) .
1976 -1979 - actor of the Lviv Theater of Young Spectators. Since 1979 he has been an actor of the Kiev "Young Theater". He became famous for playing the role of Golokhvasty in the play "Chasing Two Hares" - this role has been played for many seasons in a row. In 1980 he received the Prize for Best Actor (film "Dudariki") at the Molodist-80 Film Festival in Kiev.
With his ex-wife, Lyudmila Dementieva, Gavrilyuk still plays the main roles in the performances "Marriage" and "RehuViliZor". From marriage with her, he has a son, Taras. The guy works in an optical company.
