In 1952 he graduated from the directing department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (workshop of MI Romm), then worked as a director of the Leningrad Film Studio of Popular Science Films and the Lenfilm Film Studio .
Honored Art Worker of the North Ossetian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1994) .
He passed away on March 4, 2010 in Moscow. The director was buried on March 6 at the Vostryakovskoye cemetery of the capital (section 17).
