Born March 14, 1958, Belleul, France - French director, screenwriter, editor and actor.
Taught philosophy. Since 1986 he has been shooting commercials. In 1993 he made his debut with the short film Paris (Paris).
Dumont's filmography includes only four films, but each of them is a real event. All films except "29 Palms" were presented at film festivals and received high marks: "Humanity" and "Flanders" won the Cannes Grand Prix, and the debut "Life of Jesus" won nine prestigious prizes, including "Special Mention" in the same Cannes.
The director himself writes the scripts, mostly non-professional actors act in his films. His films are notable for the fact that they speak little.
