Born December 15, 1954 in the UK. He graduated from Oxford with a degree in jurisprudence, the University of Bristol, where he studied film art, the University of California, Los Angeles Film School. Almost every film by this director deserves praise from critics and is enthusiastically received by the audience. Cox became famous in 1984 after the filming of the movie `Repo Man`. Then there were the films `Sid and Nancy` (1986) and` Walker` (1988).
