Born January 12, 1962, better known as Joe Quesada, is an American writer, screenwriter and comic book artist. He became famous in the 1990s while working for Valiant Comics on the comic books Ninjak and Solar, Man of the Atom. He later worked at DC Comics and Marvel Comics on stories such as Batman: Sword of Azrael and X-Factor, and soon formed his own company - Event Comics.
In 1998, Quesada became director of Marvel Knights, an imprint of Marvel Comics, and in 2000 he became the chief editor of the entire company. In 2010, he became Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment, and in January 2011 he resigned his post as Chief Editor and was replaced by Axel Alonso.
