Born May 2, 1983 - American actor.
Graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts from Carnegie Mellon University. While studying, he performed in several musicals including Candide, The Wild Party and Spunk.
From 2006 to 2008, Charles starred in the critically-acclaimed television series Friday Night Lights. He also appeared on television in the series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS Special Department, and Necessary Violence, and also played supporting roles in The Messenger, Salt, and The Raid Boys.
In July 2012, Charles landed a supporting role as intern Shane Ross on Shonda Rhimes's Grey's Anatomy. The character Charles was one of five new interns in season nine of the series, while others were played by Tina Majorino, Camilla Luddington, Jerrika Hinton and Tessa Ferrer. After appearing in almost every episode of the season, Charles, along with three other cast members, was promoted to a regular cast starting in season ten. He was fired after the tenth season, along with Tessa Ferrer.
