Born January 8, 1977 - American actress, writer, director and producer. Her younger sister, Danielle, is also an actress. Benson was raised in a mixed Christian and Jewish tradition. As a child, she studied music and dance. Graduated from high school in Orlando, Florida.
After graduation, Buffy began producing a series of animated films for the BBC. Along with fellow Buffy star Adam Bush, he directed the comedy Drones, which premiered at the 2010 London Festival. In 2001 she performed the songs “I've Got a Theory / Bunnies / If We're Together”, “Under Your Spell” (her solo), “Walk Through the Fire”, “Standing / Under Your Spell (Reprise)” and "Where Do We Go from Here?" in the episode "Once More, with Feeling" of the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." In 2002, she appeared in two singles on the album of her colleague Anthony Stuart Head, Music for Elevators.
Benson writes novels and comics primarily in collaboration with Christopher Golden. Death's Daughter's first book, paperback, was released on February 24, 2009, and Cat's Claw's second book, on February 23, 2010. The third book was completed in June 2010.
During the 2008 campaign, Benson campaigned for Obama for the MoveOn.org non-profit organization.
