Born February 21, 1963, Brussels, Belgium - Belgian screenwriter, director and producer.
Started out as an assistant to director Frederic Soix in his short film Requiem for a Smoker (1985) with Serge Gainsbourg in one of the roles. In 1996, the documentary No Man's Business was nominated for the competition and won the Best Independent Film Award from the Chicago Retirees Research Foundation.
The first full-length feature film was My Life in Pink (1997), which received good reviews, won a number of festivals and was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film.
In 2010 he directed the film "Shagreen Skin", an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Honore de Balzac.
