Crawford was born in Clay, Alabama.
He has starred in A Walk to Love (2002), Fanatics (2002), Love Fever (2004), The Great Raid (2005) and Outlaw Baytown (2012). He had a minor role as Mitchell "Mitch" Cafferty in the television series Jericho (2006–07) and appeared in two episodes of the television series Impact (2009–12). In 2008, Crawford starred in one episode of the television series "Life is a Sentence", in 2010 he starred in the video "Smokin 'Aces 2: Ball of Death," the prequel to "Smokin' Aces." He had minor roles in the eighth season of the cult television series 24 Hours (2010) and the first season of Swamps (2010–11) .
In 2013-15, Crawford played one of the main roles in the television series Correct Mistakes, and since 2016 has been playing the role of Martin Riggs in the television series Lethal Weapon, based on the film series of the same name.
