Born December 2, 1968, Arcadia is an American television actress.
As a child, after the divorce of her parents, Rena moved with her mother to Pittsburgh. At the age of 15, she was spotted by a New York agent and invited to work in the modeling business. She attended Frisch School, Jewish High School in Paramus, New Jersey. She lived in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was Rabbi of Temple Beth El, graduated from North Bergen High School, before starting classes at Montclair State College.
Sofer made her television debut in 1987 with a small role in the series Underworld. From 1993 to 1997, she played in the soap opera General Hospital. The role earned her a 1995 Daytime Emmy Award. In 1994 she starred in the film "Nanny". In 1998, Sofer moved from daytime to primetime with a role in Melrose Place. For the next decade, she continued to take on minor roles in the series Fashion Magazine, Heroes and 24 Hours. She also starred in the film Carrie (2002), as Miss Desjardine, a physical education teacher.
In 2013, Sofer returned to the daytime broadcast with a role in the soap opera The Daring and the Beautiful.
