Lovebugs was founded by Sebastian Hausmann (bass), Adrian Sieber (guitar, vocals) and Julie (drums) in 1992 when they entered the Basel Band Contest, a talent competition. A year later, Julie leaves the band, and Adrian and Sebastian begin work on the band's first album, Flugg. Immediately after that, a new drummer joined the band - Simon Ramshaer.
