British alternative rock band, founded in 1985 in Coventry (England). The original line-up consisted of Keiron McDermott (vocals), Paul Jonathan Court (guitar, vocals), Steve Dallahan (bass) and Pete Tweedy (drums). When Keiron left the band, the musicians called Tracy Tracy (at birth Tracey Cattell). The group's success began when Stephen Patrick Morrissey, the lead singer of the then popular The Smiths, once named them one of his favorite bands. After a successful first album, which with the song "Crash" hit the top 5 of the main music charts of the United Kingdom, their career quickly went uphill, right up to the early 90s. In 1992, their last album, Galore, was a sales flop and the band disbanded.
