British alternative rock band, founded in 1993 in London (England). She became famous thanks to the patronage of Stephen Patrick Morrissey, vocalist of The Smiths, who often invited them on joint tours and used them as an opening act. In the mid-90s, the group fell under the influence of the then popular Brit-pop, and recorded all their albums in this style. The founders include the following people: Sonia Aurora Madan (vocals), Glenn Johansson (guitar), Debbie Smith (guitar), Alex Kizer (bass), Andy Henderson (drums). After the release of the second studio album in 1995, Kizer left the band to join the Dragstripper group, and was replaced by a new bass player, James Harris. In 1997, following the recording of their third album, Smith and the newly arrived Harris left the band.
