The Strokes musical group was founded in 1998 in New York, USA. The band's performance style can be correlated with several musical styles, such as indie rock and post-punk. The ensemble consists of five members - Nick Valenci (guitar), Nikolai Freichur (bass), Albert Hammond (second guitar), Fabrizio Maretti (drums) and the main man of the group, vocalist Julian Casablancas.

The guys really liked making music, they were brought up on the work of Bob Marley and The Velvet Underground. Starting in 1998, the band came out of the shadows and began performing in different clubs, at one of these concerts they met their future manager, Ryan Gentles. Also in 2001, the band's debut album, Is This It, was released into rotation; according to Rolling Stone magazine, it was ranked second in the list of the 500 best albums of the decade. The first film with The Strokes was shot in support of Sidi, and the guys also went on tour for six months in the USA and England. The artists have six studio albums, the last one was presented to the public in 2013 under the name Comedown Machine.
