Born on January 27, 1973, Magnitogorsk - Russian heavyweight boxer.

He began to actively engage in boxing from early childhood, at first he was trained under the guidance of the master of sports A. V. Polyakov, later he was the ward of honored trainers V. V. Roshchenko and D. V. Lunev.

He achieved his first serious success as a boxer in 1991 by winning the All-Union tournament in memory of S.V. Khokhryakov in Kopeysk - thereby fulfilling the standard of the USSR master of sports. Subsequently, he won these competitions three more times, in 1996, 1997 and 1999.

In 1995, Diaghilev won the championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and a year later he was among the prize-winners of the Russian national championship in Yekaterinburg - in the heavy weight category he reached the semi-finals stage and received bronze. In 1997, he won the World Military Championship in the United States, and took part in the Felix Stamm international memorial tournament in Poland. In 1999, in the standings of the national championship in Chelyabinsk, he again became the second, took bronze at the Usti Grand Prix in the Czech Republic, losing in the semifinals to the representative of Turkey Sinan Shamil Sam. The last time he showed any significant result at the all-Russian level was in the 2000 season, when he stopped at the semifinals stage at the Russian Championship in Samara, losing to future champion Igor Vlasov.
