Born May 22, 1959, Davichalm, Lancashire, UK - English poet and musician, known by the stage name Morrissey. In 1982-1987 he was the vocalist of the influential British rock band The Smiths, which he co-founded with guitarist Johnny Marr. After the breakup of The Smiths, Morrissey embarked on a solo career that continues to this day.
