Born on August 26, 1968.
He began his career as a filmmaker as an assistant to his father, director Zigi Rotemund, and other directors. Then he directed several episodes for the German television series Anwalt Abel. In 1998 he directed his first film "Das merkwurdige Verhalten geschlechtsreifer Gro?stadter zur Paarungszeit" and received the "Bayerischer Filmpreis" in the nomination for Best Aspiring Director (German: Regienachwuchspreis) .
