Folklorist, author of collections of fairy tales for children, author of memoirs.
Born April 21, 1908 in St. Petersburg. Father - a process engineer, later worked at Lenhydroproject as a leader of one of the groups. Mother - a dentist, later worked in the first medical institute.
In 1930 she graduated from the Higher State Courses of Art Criticism at the State Institute of Fine Arts (verbal department) with a degree in literary criticism (critic, editor) .
1930 - 1937 worked in the editorial office of the Leningrad branch of Detgiz, editor-in-chief - Samuil Yakovlevich Marshak.
Arrested on September 5, 1937. Released on January 14, 1939. After her release, she worked at the Leningrad Radio Committee in the editorial office of children's programs.
In 1947 she was admitted to the Writers' Union with the recommendations of S. Marshak, E. Schwartz and V. Orlov.
