Manhattan Transfer was founded in New York in 1972 by vocalist Tom Hoser, who was later joined by Janice Siegel, Alan Paul and Cheryl Bentine. Relying on classic boogie-woogie and be-bop, Manhattan Transfer breathed a second life into them, saturating them with virtuoso vocals. The quartet's high performing skills and exquisite vocal harmonies have made the group one of the most popular jazz vocal groups of our time.
