Spanish actor and director.
Born April 19, 1940 in the province of Huelva.
He studied acting at the Westphalian Institute of Dramatic Art in Bochum (Germany) and at the School of Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Since 1964 he began his acting and directing career on the stages of theaters in Germany. He made a great contribution to the development of pantomime as a theatrical genre.
In 1971 he returned to Spain, where he worked in the theater and starred in films. In 1976 he won the Grand Prix of the Cannes IFF for Best Actor in The Family of Pascual Duarte (1976).
