One of the founders of Samara animation, long-term, permanent director of the Kuibyshevtelefilm studio, director of the popular series of puppet cartoons about hares.
In 1967 he came to "Kuibyshevtelefilm", worked as the chief editor of the studio, made documentaries as a director.
At the same time, he studied animation with the Moscow director Vladimir Degtyarev, and shot two films with him. Passion for this work prompted him to become an animation director.
He also studied under the animator Lev Zhdanov and worked with him on the films "Forest Tales", "Seven Brothers", "In a dim kingdom, in a gray state."
In total, he shot 30 cartoons. The last one - in 1991, after which the animation production at the studio was closed.
In recent years he was seriously ill.
