July 17, 1924 - November 1, 2006 - Soviet and Russian cameraman and director of volume-puppet animation.
Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Since May 28, 1944 - senior photographer of the field Voentorg No. 15.
In 1951 he graduated from the camera department of VGIK. Until 1955 he worked as a cameraman at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. Since 1955 he worked as a cinematographer at the Soyuzmultfilm studio, where he shot cartoons directed by V. D. Degtyarev, A. G. Karanovich, R. A. Kachanov, V. P. Danilevich, N. M. Chervinskaya and others.
In 1965, he made his directorial debut with the cartoons "These are the miracles" and "Whose are the cones in the forest?", filmed in alliance with IV Ufimtsev. From 1965 to 1969, he combined cinematography with directorial work. Since 1969 he worked independently.
In the late 1990s he left and lived in Germany. Member of ASIFA.
