Born April 14, 1939.
Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1996). In 1956-57 he was a painter at the Ural Heavy Engineering Plant. In 1965 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Art School. I.D.Shadra (painting and teaching department). In 1965-66 he worked as an animator at the Kievnauchfilm studio, in 1968-71 he was an art director of the Sverdlovsk Puppet Theater, in 1971-75 he was a director of the Sverdlovsk Film Studio, in 1975-80 he was an artist at the Art Fund of the USSR, since 1980 he was again a director of the Sverdlovsk film studios, since 1989 - in the TPO of artistic animation (now - the animation studio "A-film"). At the same time since 1996 - director of the Krasnoturinsk Puppet Theater. Works in puppet animation and transfer technique. Filmed in the film from the cycle "The World of Animation or Animation of the World" (2001).
